a well-known and well trusted name today in the field of electrical

performance- these are the reasons behind the increasing popularity of
GRAND Cables. Within a short span of 4 years since the product was
launched, GRAND cables has done extremely well and has forged ahead as
the largest selling cables in Kerala.A small humble beginning
The first business venture of the GRAND Group of firms was started in 1980 - under the name and style of C.P.M. Trading Corporation. Just as the very name suggests, it was purely a trading organisation and was engaged in the marketing of mill store products and components. It was also marketing Good Year and Fenner transmission belting, Bearing and Machinery.
The next venture of the GRAND Group was C.P.M. Trading Co. Pvt. Ltd. , which was started in 1992. Ever since then, the firm has been marketing
a
very wide range of high quality electrical products manufactured by
reputed companies all over India. The firm soon took up the distribution
of GRAND and Excel Fans - all products manufactured by the new
manufacturing ventures set up by the GRAND Group. Over the years, this
firm has grown by leaps and bounds and has grown today into an extensive
marketing set up with 11 distributors and 400 direct dealers playing a
key role in the successful distribution activities of the firm.A major breakthrough and the first foray of the GRAND Group into manufacturing activities came in 1995, with the successful starting of GRAND Cables Production plant at Pullolicakal, Kothala, Kottayam. This was a turning point in the history of GRAND Group. The factory of GRAND Cables started production of a wide range of top-quality products. These products manufactured from the finest raw materials at a most modern production plant under rigorous quality control soon won the confidence of the market and thousands of customers across the country. From then onwards, there has been no looking back and the GRAND saga of success began to unfold. When the demand for these quality products overtook the supply, a second unit was started to step up production. The second plant of GRAND Cables was commissioned in January, 1996. As part of the GRAND scheme for diversification, a third plant for production of cables was commissioned in 1999 to manufacture wires and conductors. It is named GRAND Wires and Conductors Pvt. Ltd.
